Hey, I'm Bazz! I'm an audio nerd, relentless tinkerer, and long time musician living in Melbourne, Australia, with my family and our very spoiled cats. When I'm not behind the mixing desk, you'll usually find me lost in a great film or TV show, getting immersed in video games, hiking and camping out in nature, or messing around with DIY projects around the house. I also have a habit of starting new business ideas just for the fun of building something from scratch, and as a guitarist, I am on an endless, lifelong quest searching for that "new" sound.
Bartlett Audio is my specialised voice production and sound design studio, built to give ambitious creators and digital storytellers a distinct, unforgettable sonic identity.
Where we came from
Let's be real for a second: building a career in audio was non linear, exhausting, and completely worth it. Nothing about my path was handed to me, but every single strange turn ended up shaping how I listen to the world.
Out of high school, I joined the Royal Australian Navy, which taught me strict discipline and how complex systems operate under pressure.
From there, I threw myself into putting my way through audio engineering school by grinding through whatever jobs came my way. I worked on assembly lines in systems and electronics factories, sold consumer tech in retail, ran my own guitar teaching business, and worked in disability support helping neurodivergent individuals navigate their daily lives.
On top of that, I was constantly producing local bands, mixing tracks late into the night, and managing massive international voice accounts for commercial advertising.
I even got to pack my bags for Nashville, Tennessee, to record inside the walls of The Castle Recording Studio (Hank Williams to Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, and Metallica) a surreal milestone after years of burning the candle at both ends.
What we believe
I am genuinely fascinated by people, their quirks, and how they express their ideas. Working across military tech, hands on electronics, human care, and creative music production gave me a massive, eclectic range of experiences. It means I don't just see you as a client on a spreadsheet; I get ridiculously excited about what you're making, how your brain works, and what makes your content unique.
While working with huge commercial accounts and high profile musicians, I noticed a massive gap on YouTube. Creators were pouring their souls into insanely clever storytelling and cinematic visuals, only to process their vocal tracks through flat, robotic presets. Modern digital storytelling deserves the same deep, emotional sound design as a feature film, but traditional audio studios just didn't get YouTube culture.
I launched Bartlett Audio to solve that exact problem. I wanted to build a playground dedicated to taking unique, passionate creators and making their work sound mind blowing. Because I've lived through so many different worlds, I care deeply about your world, your story, and getting your audience to feel every single second of it.
